Last fall I saw a photo of myself that broke my soul.
I was standing in a beautiful studio seeing shots pop onto the screen. I stared at the images and couldn’t breathe. My stomach flipped. I was looking at a photo of me – and I couldn’t even SEE myself….
What happens when every girl on the team loves shades of purple and lavender, and I find a scrap of vintage fabric at a goodwill?
How do I begin to describe Paige? Normally I ask my seniors what they are involved in and what they do in their free time. With Paige I never got to the second question! Maybe it is the fact that besides being an online Honor Role High School student, Paige is a firefighter (who was […]
On week 3, my goal was to experiment with light painting, a technique I had never tried. It involves shooting in complete darkness, and using long exposure, and a flashlight to physically ‘PAINT’ light onto a SUPER still and patient subject.
I started with some soft and pretty images of Isabelle with the white daisies, and then we took things up a notch with bright yellow daisies, and despite our time restraints – I think we both NAILED gorgeous images!!! Which is your favorite? The white or yellow daisy photos?

Every medal, every trophy, every ballet slipper, every uniform, all of it representing hours, and days, and […]
Capturing her love of the Acadamy of Dance in Pittsburg Kansas was a must have for her session, but when her mom pulled out her very first, teeny, tiny, pink, puffy leotard, I think we all got misty eyed.
Caitlin’s session is a perfect example of a September photo session. Sunkissed greens turned gold, the last bit of summer coming to an end.
I love that we captured her life long love of dance and love of nature in her senior picture session!
One of the most special things about Kelci’s senior photo session was that in her consultation she talked about loving the idea of having a long, beautiful pink dress for a part of her photoshoot. After looking and not finding what she wanted, Kelci’s mom CREATED the dress. It is pink, long, flowing, and almost […]
Elissa is looking forward to participating in the Queen Neelah Pageant this fall in Independence, and I wish her all the best! I know so many amazing girls who participate every year!
