Week 6 is CLOUDS! My goal for this shoot was to create beautiful ethereal looking clouds in the studio, using Christmas lights, pillow stuffing.
While I fully intended to bring in THREE ferns (which normally hang on my front porch, one of the ferns was home to a nest of baby sparrows – so we had to settle for just two! This shoot was all-natural light – no fancy hair, makeup or styling. Just beautiful window light, a beautiful girl, and some lovely nature.
Week 4 concept is MIRROR. Caitlin was such my senior team member, and she right away saw the vision and helped create some amazing photos. We went to 2 locations – both a brick alley in Parsons, and a beautiful meadow outside of town – and I LOVE what we created together!
The last photo is definitely my favorite from this set, and it includes 6 different photos of her for the final edited image!
On week 3, my goal was to experiment with light painting, a technique I had never tried. It involves shooting in complete darkness, and using long exposure, and a flashlight to physically ‘PAINT’ light onto a SUPER still and patient subject.
I started with some soft and pretty images of Isabelle with the white daisies, and then we took things up a notch with bright yellow daisies, and despite our time restraints – I think we both NAILED gorgeous images!!! Which is your favorite? The white or yellow daisy photos?
